Friday, Oct 31 — Markets, Flavor & Local Life
9:00 AM – Mercado de Jamaica: Flowers & Flavor
Wander through thousands of golden marigolds (cempasúchil), the symbolic flower of the dead, as this bustling market transforms into a visual and aromatic celebration of life.
Indulge in local street food:
• Fresh tlacoyos, quesadillas, and antojitos (mexican snacks)
• Atole and aguas frescas made from tropical fruits
• A true taste of daily life, surrounded by flower vendors, elders, and everyday chilangos (locals)
10:30 AM – Mercado San Juan: The Chef’s Market
Sample gourmet bites like seafood tostadas, wild mushrooms, and rare ingredients found only in this chef-beloved market. Sip a cold cerveza or fresh juice as you explore the exotic and unexpected.
12:30 PM – La Ciudadela Artisan Market

4:30 PM – Rest & Free Time

Saturday, Nov 1 — the magic of Xochimilco
9:00 AM – Breakfast at El Cardenal
Start your day with freshly frothed Mexican hot chocolate, pan dulce, and house-made breakfast classics at one of the city’s most iconic institutions.
4:00 PM – Ruta del Cempasúchil in Xochimilco
Board a traditional trajinera boat and glide along the ancient canals lined with floating gardens and blooming marigolds. This once-a-year marigold route honors loved ones through color, sound, and sacred joy.
You’ll experience:
• Fields of cempasúchil flowers
• Live mariachi or marimba echoing across the water

Sunday, Nov 2 — Culture, Castle Views & Parade

Walk the halls of emperors and revolutionaries in this hilltop castle offering panoramic views of the city and rich Mexican history.
12:00 PM – MUNAL: Museum of Mexican Art
Step into a palace of artistic beauty. Explore masterpieces by Rivera, Orozco, and more in a museum that celebrates Mexico’s creative genius.
2:00 PM – Lunch at El Balcón del Zócalo
Enjoy an elevated, modern Mexican lunch with front-row balcony views of the Día de Muertos parade route.
3:00 PM – The Día de Muertos Parade
This is the heart of it all: a vibrant, dreamlike procession of dancers, calaveras (skeletons), giant floats, and live music that fills the city with joyful remembrance. A once-in-a-year celebration of life and memory.
8:00 PM – Lucha Libre: Mexico’s Wildest Night
Optional group outing.
Step into the electric world of Lucha Libre — masked heroes, dramatic flips, fierce rivalries, and wild crowd energy.

• Cancel 31–60 days before: 50% refund (minus deposit)
• Cancel 30 days or less: no refund
